What is Home Education?
Home Education is an educational option recognized by the Legislature in
1985. It is completely parent-directed with only minimal regulation or oversight
by the state. Parents determine their child's educational path and the plan for
reaching their goals. Students in a home education program are free to learn
and explore at their own pace, in any location or at any time of the day.
What are the requirements?
Mrs. Dewberry's Home -School Provides the Following Service:
- Completing and filing forms with your district.
- Ordering books
- Coordinating a curriculum to fit your child needs.
- Provides annual evaluation and Standardize Testing.
- FLVS (Florida Virtual School Assistance)
- and much more...
 | | The Parent must register each child in a home education program with their school district.

 | | The parent must maintain a portfolio of records and materials and provides an annual evaluation of |

 | | The parent is not required to be a certified teacher. |
