Admission Statement

 

Non-Discriminatory Policy
The Beverly Institute adheres to a policy of racial nondiscrimination in the admission of students.  It admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at The Beverly Institute. 
The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its student admissions policies, employment policies, educational policies, grant and scholarship programs and athletic and other school administered programs.

 

NEW STUDENT PROBATIONARY PERIOD

All new students enrolling into The Beverly Institute (TBI) will be placed on a 30 day probationary period.  This is to ensure that The Beverly Institute is right for the student and the student is right for The Beverly Institute.  During this probationary period the student behavior and academics will be monitored. If the student is disruptive, and/or does not turn in work assignment in a timely manor, and/or frequently breaks dress code violations, that student will be released from The Beverly Institute.

 

ASSESSMENT TESTING

All new students who scored below grade level on an achievement test or whose GPA is below 2.0 will be required to take an assessment test. This is not a pass or fail test. This test is for placement only. A Director of TBI will contact the parent to schedule an appointment for testing.  The non-refundable fee is $ 25.00. Students wishing to attend The Beverly Institute will not be turned away because of low grades.

 

BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS

Students with a history of behavior problems will not be turned away; however, will be placed on behavior probation for the 1st quarter of the school year. During this probationary period the student behavior and charter will be monitored. If the student is disruptive, and/or frequent violation of TBI policies, that student will be released form The Beverly Institute.

 

HOME-SCHOOLED STUDENTS

Home-schooled students may enroll with the following additional documentation:

Proof of current grade-level (Standardized test scores or evaluated portfolio)

A copy of the Termination of Home-School form to authorized agency.

 

TRANSFER STUDENTS FROM PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS

All transfer students from public and private schools must adhere to the same enrollment guidelines listed for The Beverly Institute.

Admission for New Students

 

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES Cont…  

Part One:

In order to enroll a student into The Beverly Institute, the following steps must be completed:

 

Registration Fee

There is a $ 75.00 registration fee.  A student is considered registered upon payment and receipt of a completed enrollment form and contract with signature and notarizes. In addition, a copy of student’s immunization card is also required.  The initial registration fee is $ 75.00 per child, and is paid at enrollment. This is non-refundable and does not apply to the first month’s payment. This cost will hold your child’s position, and will cover the cost of enrollment forms. 

 

Complete and return all enrollment forms and record release forms.  The following documents MUST be turned in with the enrollment forms:

 

Ø      Copy of the most recent and up to date report card (if enrolling for the fall, the reported card must be the final report card from the previous school year)

Ø      Copy of the student’s unofficially transcript (for enrolling high school students only)

Ø      Copies of the must recent standardized test results, (FCAT, Stanford, etc..)

Ø      Copies of birth certificate and up-to-date immunization card (form 680)

Ø      Copy of Student’s Social Security Number

Ø      Behavior Form (filled out by previous school)

Ø      Court Order relating to student, if applicable (i.e.,) Power of Attorney, Guardianship, Custody, and etc..

Ø      Admissions Statement

 

Upon receiving all forms that apply to perspective student, the director will contact the parents to schedule an appointment for admission into the school.

 

After interview and review of admission test (if applicable) perspective student will meet TBI general admission requirement.

 

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES

Part Two:

Students who meet the general admission requirement will be issued  the TBI Contract, Request for Records, authorized pickup, authorization for dispensing medication, school calendar, attendance policy, dress code policy, and other form and information pertaining the school year. 

 

Upon receiving all signed forms and a signed and notarized contract the prospective student will receive a welcome letter that week by mail. (5 school day) and a Welcome package a few weeks before school begins again. 

 

This package will contain a welcome letter, important information pertaining to his/her schedule, important dates and functions for the school year, and much more..
